Looking back, we see years of great challenges for social relief organizations – The recent Tsunami in Asia reminds us greatly of how true the words of Donne are.  We grieve for the loss of life and the hardship that will be faced by so many in the years to come because of this natural disaster.  While all who have been affected need help, we are most devastated by the pain and sorrow of the children; the children survived yet lost their families and relatives.  While adults need help, the children are the most vulnerable.  When it comes to rebuilding lives, the children are unable to help themselves.  As it has been our endeavour to respond to the call of Tsunami affected children, SANTHWANAM came forward with a program of relief and rehabilitation of 17 children those lost everything in Tsunami.  As a part of this programme, SANTHWANAM joined hands with SOS Childrens village and sponsored 17 children in the state of Tamil Nadu.  SANTHWANAM took up their entire expenses that includes food, medicine, cloth, shelter, education, etc. for a period of one year.
